What to Expect

This 10 days tour begins with a glimpse of Nairobi, exploration of Samburu with countless encounter with elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards and so much more. It also offers an opportunity to visit the Ol-Pejeta Conservancy to learn more about their projects, encounters with wildlife at this conservancy including two female northern white rhinos. Proceed to Lake Nakuru and Naivasha with many bird species along the shores. Explore Mara north conservancy with game drives and wildlife encounters. You also visit Masai Village.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and overnight in Nairobi

The arrival of your international flight into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. Met by our representatives outside customs and immigration halls. Safari briefing then transferred to your hotel.
Check-in assistance. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Wilson airport for your scheduled Safarilink flight to Samburu Game Reserve. Land at the Kalama airstrip towards where you will be met by our driver guide and proceed to your camp with game drive en route.
Check-in assistance, followed by lunch. This afternoon, depart for a game drive in the reserve.
Return to the camp before sunset. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Explore Samburu National Reserve

Start your day with breakfast and go for your early morning game drive, pursuing elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands. You will also see the rare Grevy zebras and the unique gerenuk. You will spend the rest of the morning relaxing at the lodge. (it is too hot in samburu to do mid-morning game drives).
Have lunch at the lodge. Late afternoon, depart for a game drive in the park. Return to the lodge before sunset. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Main attraction: Black rhino, the last two female northern white rhinoes, chimpanzees & close encounters with wild game
After breakfast, you will travel overland to Ol Pejeta Conservancy where you will check into your tented camp and have some lunch. Your afternoon game drive will start with a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a haven for orphaned chimps that was established by the Jane Goodall Institute. it is also home to other orphaned animals.
Ol Pejeta has the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya and it offers a great game viewing experience. You will have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Full day experience at Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Full day spent in the conservancy with morning and afternoon game drives.
With the snowy peaks of Mt. Kenya as your backdrop, your safari in East Africa’s largest black rhino sanctuary is sure to be as beautiful as it is diverse. Find yourself and the Big Five as you explore 90,000 acres of pure wild with an experienced guide who will share his experience and knowledge with you.
Venture out there for close encounters with elephants, wild dog, lion, hyena, buffalo, cheetah, rhino, and all the plains herbivores.
Meals and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 6: Ol Pejeta to Lake Elementeita

Main attraction: Teeming flocks of flamingoes, 400 bird species, and the rare Rothschild Giraffe
After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru located in the Great Rift Valley.
En route, we will stop briefly at the equator line and Thomson falls lodge.
Continue drive to arrive in time for lunch at your lodge.
You will then enjoy an exciting game drive in the afternoon. Lake Nakuru has plenty of bird species – over 400 including big flocks of lesser and greater flamingos. You will have dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 7: Elementeita to Lake Naivasha

Have breakfast at the lodge and check out. Proceed on your final game drive in Lake Nakuru then exit and set off for Lake Naivasha. (1-hour drive)
Arrive and check-in, followed by lunch. Later in the afternoon enjoy a one-hour boat trip on the lake, one of the prime bird-watching areas in East Africa. Freshwater birds such as Cormorants, Heron, Storks and Ibis are predominant with the large birds of prey easy to spot wheeling in the open skies. Also present are the smaller waterbirds feeding along the shores. But it is the combination of the lake, lands with surrounding Acacia woodland and grasslands which make this area so rich and varied in birdlife. There are also good chances of spotting hippo. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 8: Lake Naivasha to Mara North Conservancy

Breakfast at the lodge and check out. Set off for Masai Mara National Reserve via the town of Narok.
Arrive and check-in at the camp, followed by a late lunch. Afternoon game drives in the reserve until sunset.
Return to camp for dinner.
Optional; Night game drive is possible in Mara North conservancy but outside the main reserve.

Day 9: Explore Mara North Conservancy

Full day spent in the reserve with morning and afternoon game drives.
it is also possible to visit an authentic Maasai cultural village,
All meals and overnight stay at the camp/lodge.

Day 10: Mara to Nairobi – Departure

Breakfast at the camp/lodge and check out. Transfer to the Mara North airstrip.
Bid farewell to your driver-guide and fly by Safarilink to Nairobi.
As soon as you arrive at around mididay you transfer to the famous carnivore restaurant for lunch.
Later, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta international airport for departure.
