5 Days Kidepo Valley National Park safari

After breakfast, transfer to Entebbe Airport for a scheduled flight to Kidepo Valley National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll be picked up and transferred to your hotel for check in. After settling in, take an afternoon game drive to explore the diverse wildlife and landscapes of Kidepo, known for its herds of elephants, buffalo, and an array of big cats. Return to the lodge for dinner and your first overnight stay in the wild.

Start your day with an early morning game drive to catch the animals when they are most active. Kidepo Valley National Park is home to many species not found in other parts of Uganda, such as the cheetah and the ostrich. After the morning drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation. In the afternoon, you can opt for another game drive or a guided nature walk, which offers the chance to experience the smaller details of the ecosystem and possibly encounter the park’s varied birdlife.

After breakfast, engage with the local Karamojong community at a nearby village to learn about their traditional nomadic lifestyle, which has been preserved over the centuries. This cultural visit provides insight into the unique customs and daily life of the Karamojong people. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic drive or relax at the lodge, taking in the vast landscapes and serene environment.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge before flying back to Entebbe. Depending on the time of your international flight, you may have the opportunity to do some last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Entebbe before heading to the airport for your departure, concluding your memorable safari in one of Uganda’s most spectacular wilderness areas.
